Our partners made a significant contribution to the successful functioning of our integration center:

• Agora7 – thanks to the Agora7 foundation, we got the necessary equipment and a unique space where free lessons for children and adults are held every working day.

• UNICEF is the organization that provided us with financial support for the period from July 1, 2023 to December 31, 2023.

• MHMP – thanks to the establishment of the MHMP, we have the opportunity to receive financial support from UNICEF.

• Ministry of the Interior of the Czech Republic – contributed financial assistance to the implementation of our activities and programs.

• Prague 7 district – provided significant support to our integration programs.

• UNHCR – provided us with financial support for the organization of our activities and courses.

What is it

Dům Dobra integration center is a friendly space in Prague 7, where we have various events that contribute to the successful integration of refugees into the Czech environment. Our schedule includes regular weekly classes as well as unique events such as workshops from professionals, children's parties, theaters and concerts visiting.

We actively share all these events via our Telegram channel and maintain a daily dialogue with visitors of our center. Here, every child and adult will find something that fits their taste and easily make new friends.

Join our Speaking Club from Kosta! Kosta is a teacher with many years of experience teaching English and working at the UN. In his work, Kosta introduces psychological techniques to improve English skills more effectively. Registration is possible on the Activity page.

Cooking classes and board games

Come join our culinary courses and try cooking in a fun way! You will learn to prepare tasty meals and get to know new recipes. And if you like spending time with friends, you'll definitely enjoy our board game sessions where you can relax and practice your strategy skills at the same time. This day is the most popular in our integration center because everyone is looking forward to it! We will spend 3 hours full of fun together, and what's best - children and teenagers from 5 to 18 years of age meet here. It's a great opportunity to meet new people, enjoy time together and learn something new in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere!

Harry Potter Style Knowledge Day

On September 1st, we held a Harry Potter movie style celebration to fill the day with joy and unity. Together with the children, we created magical memories in our community.

Our Integration Center has existed for more than a year. During this time, we have conducted more than a thousand hours of various courses, lectures, lessons, workshops, master classes and holidays for children and adults. Story

How it all began

In our Dům Dobra dormitories, where we provide free accommodation for women and children, a team of volunteers have been sharing with children some creative activities, crafts, movie nights, and other events. We were also visited by psychologists and social workers who conducted relevant workshops. In December 2022, this activity took on an educational character when we began actively looking for volunteer teachers to help Ukrainian children successfully enrol in Czech schools.

Over time, we realised that our support had to reach a new level—we needed to create a new space for various activities that contribute to the successful integration of refugees into the Czech community. In March, with the support of the Agora7 Foundation, we opened the Dům Dobra Integration Center. We started with language courses and, thanks to our dedicated volunteers, quickly expanded our range of activities. Now, our centre offers courses in programming, robotics, drawing, creative workshops, cooking classes, and much more.
